Faith Pennick directed, produced and edited her first feature-length documentary titled, Silent Choices about the impact of abortion on the lives of African-American women. The film won the Best Documentary Award at the 2007 Roxbury Film Festival.

In addition, Pennick wrote, directed, produced and edited the award-winning narrative short, Running on Eggshells that aired on U.S. television in the fall of 2007.

Her earlier work includes, directing the documentary short …And Justice For Whom? And producing the narrative short film Harlem Sistas Double Dutch which aired during the WNET/New York film series, Reel New York in 2005.

Faith’s latest film is Weightless, a documentary short about plus-sized, female scuba divers.

A Chicago native, Faith has a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.A. from New York University. She resides in Brooklyn, NY.
